The Gift of Patience

“O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.”{Surah Al Baqarah verse 153}

When life gets tough, the believer will find true solace and relief in prayer. And when we pray to Allah and we ask Him for help, we must be patient. You may feel like your duas are not being answered but know that Allah hears you, He sees you and He will answer you and if you are patient, you must realise that Allah is in fact responding to you by gifting you with patience! He is giving you the strength to continue to worship Him. There are many people who pray and call upon Allah but they eventually give up when they do not see immediate changes in their situation. But Allah says that He is with the patient. A patient person endures whatever hardship they go through because they realise that it is temporary. In this world, we will constantly go through ease and then hardship, hardship and then ease. That’s the nature of this life. And the gift of patience cannot be attained except by going through some difficulties. Allah wants us to use these opportunities to get closer to Him and He also wants us to polish up our character with the virtue of patience. If you are patient, you must know that you are not alone. You have Allah and there is no need to grieve. He will help you. Just be patient and He will open doors for you from where you never expected. Perhaps one of them will lead you to Paradise. ❤️
